My name is Jen. I have a contagiously funny husband, three awesomely gorgeous daughters, a knack for design, a love for writing, an obsession with kids fashion, a secret desire to be a photographer and a curfew of 10 pm. WHO'S WITH ME?

We’ve lost a tooth. Filed under, things I never thought would make me cry.
It’s no secret that I’m a sap.
Heartfelt commercials. Hard-earned accomplishments. A leftover LEGO hiding at my bedside so that when I step out of it in the morning, I have no choice but to lose at least a third of my foot to it.
All of these things make me cry.
You know what else made me cry?
Averi’s first lost tooth.
To defend myself, if she hadn’t gone and got all proud and excited about it, I may have make it through without sobbing. But when your first-born child’s eyes light up with that incredible, unrestrained happiness and you see the excitement physically trying to bust through the seems of her being, YOU FRIGGIN’ CRY.
Here is a recap of her lost tooth saga. Along with Lily’s input. (And the vast differences between ages 5 and 3.)
(Please excuse the poor video quality. Video work and I are like oil and water.)
Also, how adorable is this crocheted tooth fairy I bought on Etsy???? There is a little buttoned backpack on her wings for the tooth to stay secure in. You can find these dolls at Eve of Insanity and they can be customized for hair, skin and dress color. And only cost $12! (I don’t work for them or anything. I just happen to think this is the cutest thing I’ve bought off Etsy in a while.)
