MommyJuice Wines with My Mommy

29 October 2012, 17:46

I’ve never appreciated wine as much as I have as a mom.

Sure, I sporadically drank wine in my early 20′s, but at that time, I couldn’t understand why my own mom had a glass every night. I thought wine was reserved for elegant parties, social events and when you were out of nips of vodka.

But then I had kids.

Now, after a long day of deadlines, house cleaning, laundry, errands and being responsible for the lives of three little mon chi chis, that 8 pm glass of wine is my savior, and has gone from something ”my mom drinks” to something “EVERY mom needs to save her sanity.” I now appreciate the fact that there is nothing more relaxing than sitting down with a glass of wine after a hard-worked day, and MommyJuice wine does just that for me.

MommyJuice Wines was founded by Cheryl Durzy, a mom of 2 and 10+ year veteran of the wine industry in Sales and Marketing at Clos LaChance Wines. These wines were inspired by her young children that point to wine glasses everywhere claiming “That’s Mommy’s Juice!” Her vision includes balanced, fruit-forward wines that bring just a bit of peace after the chaos of everyday life as a parent.

Cheryl understands. She speaks our language. She knows how important it is to de-stress. THANK YOU, CHERYL.

When I received my bottles of red and white MommyJuice wines, I thought there wasn’t a better way to drink them than with my own mom. So I grabbed the bottles and my fun MommyJuice wine glasses and headed to my parent’s house.

We LOVED MommyJuice wines.

I’ve always been a red wine drinker, and we both enjoyed the MommyJuice red’s full and rich flavors of blueberries, blackberries and dried cherries, but I must say I was HOOKED on the white. With aromas of guava, pineapple and banana and hints of lemon grass and citrus rind, the white was tropically delicious and I found myself craving more once it was gone. I’m not lying when I say it’s the ONLY bottle of white wine I’ve ever finished (and wanted more of).

MommyJuice wines also comes with a screw top, which is fabulous for storing, but I’ve never had to use it since I can’t stop myself from enjoying the entire bottle in one evening. Well, maybe I had a little help from my mom, but I could have easily finished it myself.

After we finished drinking our wine and reminscing about my childhood, my mom simply needed to ask, “Now do get it?”

Yes. Yes I do, mother of mine. I get it with a capital G and cherry on top.

And how cool are these MommyJuice wine glasses, with sayings inscribed on them that all moms can appreciate? I use my “Wine without the H” like I use kegels to pretend I’ll ever be able to jump on a trampoline again. GOOD STUFF.

This is the best part. One of my readers will win a $50 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO MOMMYJUICEWINES.COM! AT $10 a bottle, that’s 5 bottles of wine! Or you can choose from other great merchandise, wine glasses and gift sets! Visit their website for more information.
