My name is Jen. I have a contagiously funny husband, three awesomely gorgeous daughters, a knack for design, a love for writing, an obsession with kids fashion, a secret desire to be a photographer and a curfew of 10 pm. WHO'S WITH ME?

Family time with the Harlem Globetrotters. #GlobieFamily
I remember the first time I went to a Harlem Globetrotters game. I was 10, living in Wellington, Florida, and, along with three other unscathed and overconfident 10 year-olds, I cheerleaded at halftime.
In front of thousands of people.
This might not seem like a big deal to some of you, but I wasn’t a cheerleader. I was a tennis player who read a lot of books and may have successfully led a neighborhood babysitter’s club.
Of course, I wasn’t a cheerleader for the Globetrotters themselves, but, rather, for the local Boys and Girls Club scrimmage game that took place during halftime. Regardless of skill, there we were, rocking out our numbers, bright green pom poms in hand, laughing and enjoying our night. Aside from the fact that we were there to support our local club that we spent so many after-school hours visiting (where I was also the fooseball champ), we also got to enjoy one of the funnest basketball games I’d ever been to. Even if I embarrassed myself in front of the entire audience.
The Harlem Globetrotters have been around for more than 85 years, with over 20,000 touring games. Innovators of the alley-oop, 3 man weave, slam dunk and 4 point shot, The Globetrotters have entertained fans in 120 countries around the world.
And they’ll be in Providence THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY (April 5th and 6th), at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
Our family enjoys all kinds of activities together– from picnics in the park to ice skating downtown to hitting the latest kid-friendly restaurant opening. But, one of the things we enjoy most as a family are live entertainment events. Any time we can hang out together as a family, enjoy some popcorn and snacks, and share wonderment of what’s going on around us, it’s a true family bonding moment.
I know the girls will love their first Globetrotters game this weekend, and we’re excited to take them.
Great tickets still available for this Friday and Saturday, both at 7:30 pm. Get them HERE. Plus, check out the promo code below for discounted tickets!

After the game, Globetrotters will stay on court to sign autographs and take photographs with your kids. The only thing better than finding an event the whole family will enjoy, is getting a great deal on it. Save $7 per ticket* by using the promo code “TOGETHER“.
